What Lexi Gonzales learned after her 'StarStruck' journey
Three years ago, Lexi Gonzales was among the thousands of young hopefuls who auditioned for GMA-7's groundbreaking artista reality search StarStruck.
With her potential, she was able to reach the finals but fell short, with Shayne Sava winning the title of Ultimate Female Survivor.
In her exclusive chat with GMANetwork.com on Wednesday, September 21, Lexi shared she now realized that there were bigger things in store for her after the competition.
“He may close a door, but He will open a window.”
She continued, “Sometimes hindi Niya ibibigay sa iyo 'yung isang bagay, kasi maybe there's something that's really meant for you and that's for you.”
“Of course, it was painful, kasi we were all rooting to win. But then, right now I think [and] I believe with all the blessings I'm receiving, I'm also winning in life right now."
Lexi is one of the most promising talents under the fold of Sparkle GMA Artist Center. She was part of shows like My Fantastic Pag-ibig (2021) and Love You Stranger (2022).
She's also a mainstay in All-Out Sundays and is one of the celebrity runners of the high-rating reality show Running Man Philippines.
According to her, it's good to see that her batch mates in StarStruck are busy with their respective projects, too.
“Ako proud ako, kasi lahat kami sama-sama dito, e. We all saw our struggles nung StarStruck, iba rin 'yung struggles na pinagdaanan namin.
“It's so good to see na lahat kami now are growing in ways na best kami. Like ako, I'm good at this, si Shayne Sava is good at this. Si Radson Flores is good at this. So, it's good to see na lahat kami nagagawa namin 'yung gusto namin gawin.
“We are growing sa mga ginagawa namin.”
Running Man Philippines
Talking about Running Man Philippines, Lexi was beaming with pride for the high TV ratings their show has been getting since their world premiere on September 3.
Lexi noted, “It's overwhelming na nakikita namin 'yung success ng show. And sobrang masaya kami, kasi lahat ng boss, lahat ng staff, they gave their heart talaga for the show.
“Kaya sobrang natutuwa ako nagpi-pay off 'yung paghihirap namin.”
